This search has resulted in the realization of my personal dream: gathering all beautiful products of designers who have made their creations with full commitment of their creativity and skills with heart and soul, after which the products can be showed to the general public. And what is the best place to announce?.... yes, the worldwideweb.

Step by step I came to the conclusion that all designers, whom I contacted personally, really deserved this special attention. Often their beautiful products are even more beautiful, innovative and outstanding than a lot of famous fashion brands. Anyway the new designs are far more exclusive, while on the other hand the famous names are becoming common property.
One more aspect that is worth mentioning is the open ear these new designers have for their clients; in many occasions the individual wishes of the clients can be honoured, which makes the creation more unique. This happens to be a great advantage of low-volume production against mass production, we can frequently face.

My personal preference for beautiful clothing also opened my eyes for the wrongs still existing in the clothing industry, unfortunately. Child labour and commercial exploitation of children is still there and I am very very sad about it. This is why I have a persistent rule: We will not sell any product through Designfashionline, that is made in this humiliating way. All designers we are cooperating with gave us the guarantee that their products are made dignified and people are rewarded according to the rules of their country. So clients of Designfashionline are helping to fight against the so called 'fashion slavery'.

Apart from that clients of Designfashionline are also helping the poorest people. It is our basic rule that a percentage of our turnover will be given to charity aims. Now we have chosen for a small project, set up by a family living in Emmen (Eastern part of The Netherlands). This family is collecting used clothes and other useful products. They deliver this humanitarian aid themselves to the small villages in Gambia. And you can imagine how welcome they are.
